  • Posted: June 6th, 2008

If you havn’t had a chance to check out scrnshots, head on over, I guarantee some “oh, that’s cool” moments. Browsing through Scrnshots is like having a secret view, inside the mind of designers all over the globe, they shouldn’t even call them scrnshots, they’re more like little golden nuggets of web lovin’ packed with […]

Thanks Burnkit!

A little going away present to BK! Many thanks to them for letting me hang out, screw up, and help out the last 6 weeks. Cupcake creds to the amazingly talented Liza for turning my idea into reality. Word on the street is these cupcakes used two full bottles of Burnkit red food coloring, and […]

April fools at Burnkit.

  • Posted: April 1st, 2008

If there’s one day you can cause havoc as an intern, and get away with it, it would be April Fools. So, last week I had just been given keys and alarm codes to the studio, I figured that’d be a good hook to play with. After about 20 minutes, two espresso’s, and 12pt Times […]

Yep, it’s all coming to an end, after today, there will be no more Interactive Design at Capilano College. Our 20+ grads will be pushed into the real world for a month long practicum and then left into the wild forever. Almost all of us have practicums at places we only hope to score jobs […]

FAVORITE APPLICATION
Quicksilver. Without a doubt, this is the one program on my Mac I couldn’t live without. I’ve got to a point where I rely on this little app. So much so that I only have 2 shortcuts in my dock, system prefs and finder, everything else is launched with Quicksilver. If you havn’t heard […]

Meebo! You get more cool everyday.

  • Posted: October 30th, 2007

It’s late at night, but the tech industry never sleeps. Meebo opens up a platform for developers… wow.
Guess what one of the first apps is? Video Conferencing through Meebo ( using TokBox ). Finally, somebody besides way too buggy aMSN ( which I still don’t know how to pronounce ) launches a webcam feature. Not […]

Blue screen of death in Leopard.

  • Posted: October 29th, 2007

In Leopard, Finder automatically picks up any computer with sharing enabled and displays it in the sidebar. When I selected a random PC to share with I noticed this gem. Check out the image below:

A beautiful, scalable, vector graphic of our favorite error. Nice, Apple, nice.

The best just got better.

Just finished the Leopard install a few hours ago, so-far-so-awesome! Actual install time was approx 45 minutes, fast, painless, and easy. I’m very impressed with the features, spaces is definitely a killer app. Spaces really nails down what third part virtual desktop apps like Virtue Desktop and Desktop Manager failed at. Things like switching windows […]
