I just got back from a one day trip with my fam and I’m almost ready to pack my bags and hop on the next bandwagon back out. Let me tell you why. 3 points.

1. I love coffee, the smell, the science, the art, and the taste.
2. I love all forms of design.
3. I love music, the music scene, and most importantly the rocker babes.

Well turns out that I’m not alone. In fact there are many of us who love these things, in fact. I heard. Or maybe I just made this up… that all of these people, happen to live in Seattle. No, really. Here’s some facts.

Seattle is the center of the coffee world, even Starbuck’s first store was in Seattle. Above average coffee is on every street corner, even the most famous coffee bars in the world such as Vivace, Victrola, Cafe Vita, are located all over. Seattle serves up some of the best coffee on the planet combined with free wi-fi for all. So where better a place for Dev’s and Designer’s to get some work done, meet with clients, and stay caffeinated? I walked into one coffee bar today and there was one table of three going over design proofs, another guy coding some RIA in Flex (yes, I’m nosy), and about 6 other people on laptops probably making the next facebook or something. This place is design geek heaven. It takes me so long to get places because I keep getting sucked in to furniture and art stores, you can’t even walk ten feet without seeing the best lamp ever (p.s. I love lamps). And to top it all off Seattle is packed with music orientated people. I swear everyone walking around is either in a band, a design firm, or both.

Seattle is the ultimate lifestyle. Coffee, Design Geeks, and Rocker Babes.

What else do you need in life? Don’t be surprised if I have a new home this time next year.
