The Ruler.
The ruler is the answer and holy grail for turning your photoshop layout into a valid html/css layout. Where is this beloved tool?
Hiding inside your eye dropper palette waiting to be unleashed in all it’s glory. How do you use this tool?
1. Select the measure tool measure tool .
2. Drag from the starting point to the ending point. Hold down the Shift key to constrain the tool to multiples of 45°.
3. To create a protractor from an existing measuring line Option-drag (Mac OS) at an angle from one end of the measuring line, or double-click the line and drag. Hold down the Shift key to constrain the tool to multiples of 45°.
Never question how wide that div is again….yay productivity.
OK, so maybe I’m over-reacting, but honestly how sweet is that!

this is the reason i dumped photoshop for illustrator while mockuping - its basically impossible to create perfect/exact grids to lay out the design and you can never create a “perfect in size” element, plus - you have a scrap-book/work-area outside of the artboard - no more looking for that layer.
i wish these so basic features existed in photoshop..
