We’ve all been there before… out and about in a public place, whether it be a cafe, mall, car, or beach. Your getting some work done and your really in the groove, then all of the sudden, you see that message of doom.

The, “Sorry your battery is just so low” warning, the one that ruins your whole flow, it even steals your focus from whatever your working on so you get that pleasing error noise from MacOS9. So you curse off your MacBooks battery life for 2 minutes, scan for an outlet which is nowhere to be found, and then get frustrated nobody’s created anything beyond lithium. Well this happened to me while I was driving to Seattle yesterday, and I came up with a solution.

While driving, pull over to the most abandoned house possible, and being very ninja-like, plug your Mac into an outside outlet and salvage power… At least enough to make it to a Best Buy for a converter.

Oh, and it helps if that abandoned house is a friend’s house who isn’t home ;). But seriously when is this whole concept of battery going to leave us? 2 and a half hours just isn’t cutting it.
