I did it. I finally caved. The moment I saw one of my loyal Crema customers with an unlocked iPhone in Canada, I knew that it was only a matter of time. Well as of two days ago, you can put me as one of the few people in Vancouver with an unlocked iPhone.
How is it? The iPhone just oozes cool, it is the ultimate geek toy. All skepticism is gone, without a doubt this is the coolest user-interface I’ve ever seen. The UI is extremely intuitive (as always with Apple), responsive, pretty, and tactile.
What’s even better is that now I have a unit to test development with. So be ready for that iPhone app, who knows what about. Any Ideas?

Where did you buy it? Does everything work well?
I was thinking of buying one in the states then unlocking it myself.

Got the iPhone off of Craigs list and two days ago went down to Bellevue and picked up 5 for some friends and fam.
Had no problems unlocking them, simple instructions, and it’s a software based unlock which is the beautiful part. Here’s the guide I followed:

So far I’ve unlocked 4 with no problems. Everything works great.
